Adding a Jobsite to a Customer

This article explains how to add a job site to a customer in ServiceBox. A job site refers to the physical location where work is performed and can either use the customer’s contact address or a custom address. Proper setup helps ensure accurate scheduling and service delivery.

Introduction

In ServiceBox, a job site refers to a specific location where a service or job is performed—this could be a customer’s address, a project site, or any physical work location. Job sites are essential for organizing and managing service operations.

 

Steps to Add a Job Site

  1. Open the Customer Profile

    • Navigate to the Customers tab.

    • Select the customer you want to associate a job site with.

 

2. Go to the "Job Sites" Tab

  • Inside the customer profile, click on the Job Sites tab.
  • This tab will show any existing job sites linked to this customer.

3. Click "Add Job Site"

  • Click the Add Job Site button to begin creating a new job site.

 

 

4. Enter Job Site Information

    • The Customer Name field will be automatically filled in.

    • Add a Building Name – this could be a physical building, unit name, or label for the job site.

    • Decide whether to use the customer’s existing address or a new one:

      • Check Use Customer Contact Info to autofill the customer’s address.

      • Or, leave it unchecked to manually enter a new address.

5. Save the Job Site

  • After entering all required details, click Save.

 

Example:

If your customer is “ABC Industries” and you’re servicing multiple branches, you might create job sites like:

  • “ABC – Warehouse West”

  • “ABC – Downtown Office”

Each job site can have its own location and associated work orders.

By following these steps, you can efficiently organize job site locations under the correct customer, making scheduling and service tracking easier.
