Can I schedule reccurring maintenance as a reminder to set up? - FAQ
Understanding how ServiceBox automatically handles reminders for recurring maintenance.
There are two ways you might receive a reminder in ServiceBox—but in most cases, you won't need one at all due to how the Recurring Work feature is designed.
1. Built-in Visibility Through the Scheduler
When Recurring Work is set up for re-occurring maintenance, it is automatically placed on the Scheduler. This allows you to:
-
Visually see upcoming maintenance in your Calendar or Dispatch board
-
Avoid overcommitting field staff when booking other jobs
Additionally, at a predetermined number of days before the maintenance is due (commonly 32 days, or just over a month), ServiceBox will automatically generate a Work Order based on the Recurring Work. This lets you assign the work to a specific technician—whether it’s the originally assigned user or someone else.
2. Optional Manual Reminder via ToDo
If you'd like a personal reminder, you can manually set a ToDo for yourself. However, most users find this unnecessary once they’re familiar with how ServiceBox handles recurring work. The visual indicators in the Scheduler typically provide all the awareness they need.
