Customer- On Hold Feature

The On Hold Customers feature in ServiceBox allows administrators to flag customers as "On Hold," restricting how team members interact with these accounts based on their security settings. This helps prevent unauthorized work or quotes from being created for customers who may be under review or have outstanding issues.

Using the "On Hold Customers" Feature

This feature enables users to place a customer On Hold, limiting their interaction with that customer depending on their user permissions.

How It Works

Once the feature is enabled, users with different security roles will see different behaviors:

  • Basic Users may not be able to add an "On Hold" customer to quotes or work orders.

  • Admins may see a warning when attempting tasks involving an "On Hold" customer, but can proceed depending on their permissions.

How to Activate the Feature

  1. Log into your ServiceBox account.

  2. Click the dropdown in the top-right corner of your screen and select Settings.

  3. In Settings, click the Plan tab.

  4. Navigate to the Features section.

  5. Check the box labeled On Hold Customers.

Once enabled, security settings will determine each user's level of access regarding these customers.

Understanding Security Settings

There are two key security permissions related to this feature:

  • Can Set/Unset Customers On Hold
Grants the ability to mark a customer as On Hold or remove that status.

  • Can Add On Hold Customers
Allows users to add "On Hold" customers to quotes or work orders, but displays a warning message before they proceed.
