How do I disable Pre-Filled 'City' and 'Province' Fields on ServiceBox Intake Forms?
If your intake forms are auto-filling 'City' and 'Province' fields by default, this guide explains how to disable those settings to allow customers to enter their own location details manually.
Issue
Some users have encountered an issue where the 'City' and 'Province' fields on their ServiceBox online intake forms are automatically pre-filled, causing confusion and inconvenience for potential customers.
Cause
This behavior is not a bug—it’s a default setting in ServiceBox designed to streamline data entry. While helpful for some, it may be problematic if you prefer customers to manually input their location.
Solution
ServiceBox provides an option to disable these defaults. Follow the steps below to stop 'City' and 'Province' fields from auto-filling:
-
Log in to your ServiceBox account.
-
Navigate to Settings.
-
Scroll down and locate the Customer settings section.
-
Click on Portal Intake Form.
-
Check off the following two boxes:
-
Do not default City
-
Do not default Province
-
-
Click Save to apply changes.
This will ensure that both fields appear blank on the intake form, requiring manual entry by the customer.
