Job Site in Accounting already Linked to Jobsite? - FAQ
Issue:
QuickBooks Online does not allow two jobsites with the same name under the same customer. If ServiceBox is showing two jobsites with identical names under one customer (Customer A), and one of them is already linked to QuickBooks, this will block syncing and cause errors.
How to Fix It
To resolve this issue, you need to consolidate the jobsites so only one remains:
Step 1: Rename the Jobsite You Plan to Delete
-
Go to the Jobsite List (on the left-hand navigation panel).
-
Find the duplicate jobsite you want to remove.
-
Temporarily rename it (e.g., add “- old” to the name) to avoid confusion.
Step 2: Move Any Work Orders
-
Open each work order linked to the jobsite you plan to delete.
-
Update the Jobsite field to point to the other (correct) jobsite.
Step 3: Delete the Unused Jobsite
-
Return to the Jobsite List in the left-hand navigation.
-
Delete the renamed jobsite that no longer has any work orders or data.
⚠️ Important: Deleting a jobsite from the customer profile only removes the link, it does not delete the jobsite from the system. You must delete it from the Jobsite List to fully remove it.
