Job Site Tab - Settings Configuration

Define contract statuses and tailor job site fields to streamline service workflows.

Summary

This article summarizes the features of the Job Site Tab in your ServiceBox settings. The Job Site tab allows you to define, manage, and customize contract statuses and custom fields for specific job sites. A job site typically refers to a location where services are performed, such as a customer’s address, a project location, or any other physical service area.

 

 

Job Site Tab: Contract

The Contract subsection allows you to set and customize contract statuses for a job site. You can define the terms of an existing contract or add new contract types as needed.

When adding a new contract, the following fields are required:

  • Name: The label for the contract status (e.g., Pending, Closed, Cancelled).

  • Message Color: Choose a color to indicate the status type:

    • Blue: Default

    • Yellow: Warning

    • Red: Error

  • Date Req.: Check this box to make the contract expiration date a required field when saving the job site.

 

Job Site Tab: Custom Fields

This subsection allows you to add additional fields to your job sites to capture specific information relevant to your workflow.

Each custom field requires:

  • A Name

  • A Type, selected from the following options:

Custom Field Types:

  • Multi-Line Text: A text box for longer responses.

  • Single Line Text: A single-line input field.

  • Dropdown: A list where one option can be selected.

  • Multi-Select: A list where multiple options can be selected.

  • Checkbox: A simple yes/no checkbox.

  • Date: A date picker field.

  • Restricted Dropdown: Dropdown with admin-defined options only.

  • Restricted Multi-Select: Multi-select with admin-defined options only.

Custom Field Settings:

  • Restricted: Visible only to admin users.

  • Display on Work Order: Makes the field visible on Work Orders.

  • Print on Work Order: Includes the field in printed versions of Work Orders.
