How to Verify QuickBooks Desktop Settings for ServiceBox Connector Access

If the ServiceBox Accounting Connector can't connect to your QuickBooks file, please check the following settings in QuickBooks and send screenshots to support@jobboxsoft.com:

Step-by-Step Instructions

  1. Open Preferences

    • In QuickBooks, click on the Edit menu and select Preferences.

  2. Access Integrated Applications

    • In the left-hand menu of the Preferences screen, click on Integrated Applications.

    • Then click the Company Preferences tab.
      (Note: Your screen may look slightly different depending on your version of QuickBooks, but the required settings will still be available.)

 
 
 

3. Review Application Access

  • Under the Application Name list, find ServiceBox QuickBooks Desktop Connector.
  • Select it and click Properties.

4. Verify Settings

  • Make sure the checkbox "Allow this application to read and modify this company file" is checked.

  • Ensure all access levels are set as required (see example screenshots if provided).

  • Even if the screens look different in your version, the settings themselves should still be available.
