Access Help Articles Directly from Sync Errors in the Accounting Connector

This article reviews the latest improvement to the Accounting Connector Program for QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, and Sage. This new feature makes it easier for users to access relevant help desk articles directly from within the sync process, streamlining troubleshooting and enhancing the user experience.

 

QuickBooks Online Connector

When syncing data with QuickBooks Online via the accounting connector, users may occasionally encounter error messages. With this update, relevant help desk articles are now directly linked to those error messages for faster issue resolution.

How to Use the Feature:

  1. Log in to ServiceBox.

  2. From the dropdown menu, select QuickBooks Online.

 

3. On the QuickBooks Online sync page, click Go.

  • QuickBooks will begin syncing data (e.g., customers, invoices, vendors).

 

4. If an error occurs, it will appear in blue text, indicating that a related help article is available.

5. Click the error message to open the article directly, or right-click to open it in a new tab.

6. You can also open the affected invoice in a new tab using the same method to make any necessary corrections.


 

QuickBooks Desktop & Sage Connector

This feature works similarly in the Connector Program for QuickBooks Desktop and Sage.

How to Use the Feature:

  1. Open the ServiceBox Accounting Connector.

  2. Click Start Sync to initiate synchronization.

 

3. If an error occurs, it will appear in blue text to indicate a help article is available.

 

4. Right-click the message and choose:

  • Go To Help Articles: Opens a step-by-step guide to help resolve the issue.

  • Or, open the Customer, Job Site, or Invoice linked to the error for editing and correction.
