This article explains how to open an existing work order, outlines the required fields for creating a new one, and provides guidance on scheduling it using the Scheduler tool.

Opening an Existing Work Order

You can open an existing Work Order in a few different ways:

  • From the main ServiceBox page, click on the Home link to open the calendar view, which displays the work orders scheduled for the day.

  • Click on a time slot to open the associated Work Order.

Alternatively:

  • On the left-hand side, click Work Orders, then click the calendar icon.

    • This view allows basic users to see their full weekly schedule.

 

Administrators can access all work orders using the list view, while basic users will only see those assigned to them.

When creating a new Work Order, fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required.
You’ll notice that not all menu items appear until the basic details are entered and the OK button is pressed.



To proceed:

  • Enter the Customer Address, Job Site, Assigned To, and Description.

  • Then click Save.

Note: Each company may have custom fields, so this screen may vary slightly.

 

Scheduling a work order

Once the work order has been created. You want to schedule the work order from the scheduler. To open up the scheduler click on the schedule button on the top bar.
