Parent not found for jobsite message

If you receive an error message like:

"Parent X not found for job site Y. Please unlink customer in ServiceBox to relink or reimport the customer,"
this means the link between ServiceBox and QuickBooks Desktop for the parent customer (not the job site itself) has been corrupted or lost.

How to Resolve This Error:

  1. Unlink the Parent Customer in ServiceBox:

    • Open the customer profile in ServiceBox.

    • Click the Links button.

    • Select Delete to remove the link to the QuickBooks Desktop customer.

  2. Re-run the Sync:

    • After unlinking, initiate a new sync from the ServiceBox Connector.

    • If the display names for the customer in ServiceBox and QuickBooks Desktop match exactly, you'll be prompted to relink the customer.

    • If they don’t match, the system will ask you to create a new customer in QuickBooks Desktop.

Once the parent customer is successfully re-linked or created, the associated job site should sync without issue.
