How to configure tax settings for QuickBooks US users

When integrating ServiceBox with QuickBooks Desktop (US), tax codes should be configured correctly to ensure proper syncing and tax calculation.
Configuration Tip
For U.S. versions of QuickBooks Desktop, all tax codes in ServiceBox should be set to “TAX” — not to specific tax groups.
QuickBooks will automatically determine the appropriate tax based on the customer’s location. Therefore, marking the items as “TAX” ensures they are recognized as taxable without needing to assign specific regional tax groups.
