To Do Tab - Settings Configuration

This article summarizes the features of the To Do Tab in your ServiceBox settings. This tab allows you to customize all "To Dos" in your account.

 

What is a ServiceBox To Do?

To Dos help improve operational efficiency by ensuring specific tasks are clearly assigned and completed on time. A To Do is a task that can be categorized, described, and assigned to an employee within ServiceBox.

You can access the To Do list by clicking To Dos on the left-hand side of your ServiceBox screen. This tool helps you and your team stay organized and ensures nothing falls through the cracks.

 

To Do Tab: Categories

This subsection lets you define categories to group your To Dos. These appear as folders under the To Do section and allow you to assign each task a category with a label and color.

Example categories might include:

  • Write Quote

  • Follow-Up with Customer

  • Order Parts

  • Pick Up Supplies

These categories help streamline task management and improve visibility across your team.

 

 

To Do Tab: Alerts

This subsection allows you to configure alerts based on To Do status.

As shown in the interface, you can choose to notify users when a To Do is:

  • Unassigned

  • Due

  • Has a changed due date

To send an alert:

  1. Click the Edit icon next to the alert type.

  2. Enter the email address to receive the alert.

  3. Check the box under Alert User.

 

Note: We recommend starting with alerts for Assigned and Due Now To Dos only. This keeps the focus on high-priority items and avoids overwhelming your employees with unnecessary notifications.

 

To Do Tab: Receiving Alerts

Your users will receive To Do alerts both via email and through the mobile app.

Mobile users will see these alerts in the Alerts page of the ServiceBox app, while all users with assigned tasks will also receive email notifications—ensuring visibility across devices.
