To Dos - User Guide

To-Dos in ServiceBox help you assign tasks, track follow-ups, and stay on top of recurring responsibilities like checking in on quotes, submitting timesheets, or running end-of-month reports.

To-Dos can be used for assigning tasks to people (categorized or uncategorized) or keeping track of items that you want to follow up on, such as seeing if a customer wants to go ahead with a quote, remembering to run your end of month reports, submitting time sheets and much more.  

 

Setting Up a To-Do in a Quote, Work Order, or Invoice

  1. Open the relevant Quote, Work Order, or Invoice.
  2. Click the To Dos tab to access the To Do section.

 

 

3. Click Add.


4. A setup screen will appear on the right-hand side.

  • Enter the task details in the large text field
  • Assign a user to the To Do from the Assigned To drop-down
  • Choose a Category (categories can be managed in Settings by an admin).
  • Add a date/time if you'd like to receive a notification in your browser or mobile app.
  • If you don't set a date, the task will stay in the queue but won't generate a reminder.
  • Select an option for the To Do to repeat in the Repeat drop-down.

    ⚠️ Screenshots in this article are from a Work Order, but the steps are identical for Quotes and Invoices.

    When a To Do has a date attached to it, it will be brought to your attention in the browser or app.

    Viewing To-Dos

    1. Click To Do from the left-hand menu.

     

     

    2. As an Administrator, you can select to view all users To Dos, or by unselecting the check box, you will see only your own To Dos. 

    Note: User permissions can be edited to allow basic users to view all user To Dos.  To change this, contact our support team by email at support@jobboxsoft.com

    You can also filter by specific status by clicking on the status at the top of the list.

     

     

    To Dos in ServicecBox App

    To Dos in the App function in the same way as here, and you can view them under the main menu in the same way.  To set up alerts for To Dos that will be received in your inbox, see Setting Up To Do Alerts
