What is the "Show Unit History Link” Feature in Work Orders?
This feature gives users better visibility into the service history of equipment or units used within work orders, making tracking and management easier than ever.
Where to Find the Feature
You can find and enable this feature in your ServiceBox Settings:- Navigate to the Settings tab
- Go to the Features section
- Under Work Order Features, look for the option labeled “Show Unit History Link on Work Order Notes”
- Check the box and click Save to activate it

Once enabled, this feature becomes available inside your Work Orders.
How It Works
After you enable Show Unit History Link, here’s what you’ll notice:- When you open a Work Order, you’ll see the Work Note tab
- If a unit (or piece of equipment) is associated with previous work, a “History” link will now appear beside it
This History link lets you quickly view where that specific unit has been used in the past within your ServiceBox account.
What the Unit History Shows
Clicking the History link displays a detailed list of previous work orders that used the same unit. This allows your team to easily track the unit’s service or maintenance record across time.
You can even sort the list by date, job site, or other details to find the information you need faster.
