Causes of Sync Issues

  • Corrupted Linkage: The link between ServiceBox and QuickBooks Online may be broken or outdated.

  • Mismatched Customer Information: Changes made in QuickBooks Online without updating ServiceBox can cause syncing errors.

  • Customer Deletion: Deleting a customer in either system may affect synchronization.

  • Jobsite Reassignment: Reassigning jobsites to new customers in ServiceBox without syncing the change can break the connection.

  • Incorrect QuickBooks Online Settings: An outdated “Import Invoices Dated On Or After” setting may prevent recent invoices from syncing.

Troubleshooting Steps

1. Verify Customer Links

  • Open the Customer Profile in ServiceBox.

  • Click on Links.

  • Ensure the customer is properly linked to QuickBooks Online.

 

2. Verify Jobsite Links

  • Open the Jobsite in ServiceBox.

  • Click on Links.

 

 

  • Confirm the jobsite is linked to QuickBooks Online.

3. Check QuickBooks Online Settings

  • In QuickBooks Online, go to the Invoice Accounts tab.

  • Check the “Import Invoices Dated On Or After” setting.

  • Make sure the date is earlier than the invoice date you’re trying to sync.

 

 

 

4. Rerun the Sync

After verifying linkages and settings, attempt to rerun the sync process to see if the issue is resolved.

 

5. Unlink and Re-Link (If Needed)

If syncing still fails, you may need to unlink the customer, jobsite, and invoice in ServiceBox and re-link them.
